Why a retail clinic?

Retail clinics have become a popular choice for many people who are underinsured, uninsured, or have restrictive medical insurance coverage. In most instances, Cache Clinic can respond quickly and at lower costs for people needing help with minor medical issues such as sinus infections, sore throats or insect bites.

What makes Cache Clinic different from other local medical clinics?

Cache Clinic is a cash-only clinic that offers quick care for minor medical problems at a fee of $50 per visit. Additional services such as urine tests or vaccinations can be also be provided and will be charged on top of the $50 visit fee.

How can I find out what types of services are offered at the clinic, and how much those services cost?

When are you open?

We’re open from Monday through Friday 4 p.m. to 8.p.m.

How do I pay for my visit/services at Cache Clinic?

Payment is required at the time of service via cash, check or credit card. Cache Clinic does not bill insurance nor do we report your visit to insurance companies including Medicaid and Medicare.

What happens if I pay $50 for my visit and discover that my problem can’t be resolved at the Cache Clinic?

If the healthcare provider at Cache Clinic can immediately determine that your medical issue requires more extensive clinical or emergency care, you won’t be charged. However, if diagnosis and/or tests given at the Cache Clinic are used to determine that you need a higher level of care, you will be charged for those services and the clinic visit fee.

Will Cache Clinic become my primary care clinic?

No. Cache Clinic offers quick medical care for relatively minor problems such as earaches, strep throat, skin rashes and urinary tract infections. Your family doctor should remain your overall provider of medical care. You may see some familiar providers at Cache Clinic however, your medical records and primary care relationship should be maintained at a clinic that offers a full scope of services. Visit our care providers page to meet our providers.

I have standing lab orders from my doctor. Can I stop by the Cache Clinic to complete those tests?

No. The focus of our clinic’s menu of services is mostly for minor, acute problems, and we can provide a limited number of procedures and lab tests. If you’re unsure, please call us at (208) 354-1126 during our business hours (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) to see how we can help you. You are welcome to leave a message outside of our business hours and a representative will return your call during Cache Clinic business hours.

Why can’t you bill my insurance?

For the clinic to offer this particular type of medical care at low prices, we have cut out the administrative and regulatory costs while retaining the high quality core components.

Does Teton Valley Health Care own the Cache Clinic?

Yes. TVHC owns the clinic but Cache Clinic is managed and operated as a separate stand-alone business that contracts with TVHC for staffing support.
